How we use provider information
Our directory starts with source information and keeps uncertainty visible. The Austin pilot uses selected records from the public CMS NPI Registry.
What the source tells us
NPPES contains provider-reported information. An NPI identifies a provider; it does not establish current licensure, credentials, quality, insurance acceptance, or appointment availability.
What we do not infer
We do not invent ratings, reviews, prices, insurance affiliations, availability, photos, or credentials. A recorded practice address is not automatically a clinic or hospital. Unknown information remains unknown.
Before a public profile appears
Imported records remain private drafts until reviewed. Source observation dates describe when information was observed, not when professional credentials were verified. Paid placement, if introduced, will be labeled separately from ownership verification or quality.
